Community
Mountain Lake Estates is located in nearby Ooltewah (pop. 5,700), approximately 15 minutes northeast of Chattanooga, and even closer to one of the region's largest shopping and dining complexes, home to over 200 retailing establishments.
Golf
Two Championship-style golf courses lay at the foot of White Oak Mountain. The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay, Eagle Bluff Golf Course, the semi-private Champion's Club and the privately-held Honors Course (host of national tournaments sponsored by the USGA).
Climate
Spring comes early and stays late on White Oak Mountain. Autumn captures the beauty of the changing mountain colorscape. Summer daytime temperatures are in the eighties, winter days in the fifties.

Chattanooga is home to world-class Erlanger Medical Center. The Tri-Star Health System also has four local health care campuses: Park Ridge, Valley, East Ridge and Grandview, and hosts the well-respected Sarah Cannon Cancer Center. In addition, Memorial Hospital, associated with The University of Tennessee Teaching Hospital, is also recognized for its highly-regarded Cardiac Care Center.
